Submissive at Work

I had a lightbulb moment today, after the newbie lawyer apologized yet again for giving me work. I tried to explain to a co-worker that it annoyed me. She thought it was nice of him to be polite. My response was, “Saying please is polite. Saying sorry makes me feel annoyed. It’s my job to take direction.” Yes, total lightbulb moment.
