“Everyone wants to be the Wolf …. until it’s time to do Wolf shit.” This really resonated when it came across my dash, so I grabbed it and use it as my goodnight post. So, the layers of meaning here ….
“Wolf” as a synonym for “male Dominant” has been around forever; it had been in use for a long time way back when I was a newly-hatched baby Dom. Sadly, it has been colonized by a lot of young “Wolf” types here in Tumble Town who have no fucking idea what being a “Wolf” even means, who just use it to give themselves a bit of cachet in their pursuit of getting laid.
“Wolf shit” to me is all the hard parts of being a Dom. It ain’t all spankings and blowjobs, kids. It’s responsibility. It’s focus. It’s putting your submissive’s needs ahead of your own. It’s being there when the phone rings at 1AM and your sub is on the phone crying because of a family crisis. It’s being the first person your sub talks to in the morning, and the last person at night. It’s knowing your sub so well that your gut tells you exactly when to send her a text with a task, and when to send her a text with a simple “You are in my thoughts.” It’s finding one’s greatest fulfillment in embracing that hard work that is so much a part of being a proper Dominant.
So my good night meme, roughly translated, is saying “Everyone wants to be a ‘Dom’ …. until it’s time to put in the fucking work.”

THIS
Auto reblog…
I will always reblog this. The essence of the thing, in a single image. Forget all the floggings and canings and throat-fuckings on your dash. Forget all the gaping orifices and vapid facials on your dash. This is the only image you need in order to understand D/s.
Any questions?
